Alaskan Biomass

Biomass energy in Alaska takes place, in large part, through the use of other effort’s waste. byproducts from our fishing industry and wood waste create the foundation for our biomass energy production. Biomass energy accounts for in-home heating and small scale power production – a just right solution for keeping the home warm or operating a lumber drying effort. Biomass energy allows for the re-use of what would otherwise be waste, turning it into an effective product for sustainable energy. Alaska’s timber and fishing industry already provide the platform for the large-scale development of biomass fuel, putting our state on a natural path of energy leadership.
